Earlier this year eight Steps to Hope graduates travelled to Africa as volunteers teaching basic English and maths at local schools.
During their time in Africa they distributed funds that Steps to Hope allocated to be used within the village. The graduates built a well which now provides free water to the schools. They also paid for medical care, enrolled kids into school and provided their school books and uniform. Steps to Hope funds were also used to purchase a boat for a family of 13 which now provides an income for the father.
This truly was an incredible experience and truly humbled the whole group.
